Hi Lynn,

It won’t work right out of the box, since the accessibility infrastructure itself needs to be ported to mobile Linux first, but as soon as Corba, which is a real heavy-weight, is out of the way, this should be much easier to do.

thanks for keeping the community informed, marco — and it should also be noted by the community that much the Open Accessibility Workgroup at the Linux Foundation (late of Free Standards Group) has accomplished has been by working with (amongst others) the mozilla foundation as part of the common effort to ensure that assistive technologies can share common frameworks and interoperable interfaces no matter what operating system a user happens to be running, as outlined in the Open Accessibility Workgroup’s Statement of Intent (http://a11y.org/a11yweb/soi.html)

I have a Nokia n800 Internet Tablet. Do you think that the interface in the works at Nokia will work on my set-up? It is a Linux based system.

Great point! You probably know that the Linux Foundation and its predecessor, the Free Standards Group, have been supporters of accessibility on Linux for years through our Accessibility workgroup.
